Val Tvoar release new EP "... ja sahiseb vikat" in their native Estonian language
Estonia's stoner metal project Val Tvoar has released the EP “...ja sahiseb vikat” (...and the scythe hisses), the band's first record in its native Estonian language. Val Tvoar explains this decision by saying that “there's not much music sung in Estonian these days, so this is me paying homage to my country and culture.”
Over the years, Val has been a one-man show, doing virtually everything in the studio by himself, but all has changed with this EP. All the live band members participate in this album. Behind the drum kit is the mighty Mikk Kerner. Silver Suu takes care of rhythm guitar, and bass is handled by Joel Berg.
The EP has 5 tracks and is musically a bit different than the previous albums. This one has a different feel and groove, with a mixture of Metallica and Corrosion of Conformity. The drums are sounding loud and clear, and not killing the smooth distorted guitars in any way. All the music and lyrics are written by Val Tvoar, who has a lot to say about overpopulation and its impact on planet earth.
