German metal band Licence announce new video

German metal band Licence announce new video

LICENCE
that’s Heavy Rock – Female Fronted at its best.
The band from Ludwigsburg/Germany is the brainchild of local guitar hero and songwriter Steam Thiess. In May 2014 he founded LICENCE and was looking for musicians who'd fit into the band. To find the singer was easy, his daughter Jacky had just what he was looking for! With an amazing presence and rocking voice the first piece to the puzzle was solved. With bassist Pappe and drummer Sammy Sin they recruited the two perfect missing links.

They soon played shows with bands like ECLIPSE, RHINO BUCKET, LEATHERWOLF, STORMWITCH, DAVID READMAN, PRAYING MANTIS, MAVERICK, MAXXWELL, TRI STATE CORNER  followed by festivals like WACKEN, FULL METAL ARMY ROCK or ROCK THE KING OPEN AIR. alongside SAXON, THE POODLES and many more. The pre-production in 2016 ended in recordings for their debut album "Licence 2 Rock", which was mixed and mastered by none other than Achim Köhler, known for his work with VOODOO CIRCLE, PRIMAL FEAR, BRAINSTORM and many others.

The record shows the whole facet's of the LICENCE sound. Back to the 80s without sounding outdated. Heavy, melodic and always keeping you on the edge of your seat.
Once you hear the songs they will remain stuck in your head.
You can't buy the licence to rock, you need to own it. LICENCE does!!!

The video for the single "Witness" was shot at Toronto heavy metal venue Coalition T.O just months before its unfortunate closure. The venue itself holds a very dear spot in the metal hearts of the band as they lived and performed just steps away from it for the last four years, meeting local and touring bands along with rocking out their own relentless run of shows.  Trusting Katherine Kwan, “The Wild” (2017) director to encapsulate the energy felt in the band's live performances. The video begins with a glimpse into what a night at their local and beloved punk/metal Kensington Market venue was like. From the bright pit footage to the ...
